Musang Coffee

An Exotic Coffee Adventure β˜•πŸŒ

One of our team members recently embarked on an incredible holiday to the Philippines. What’s more, he returned with a captivating souvenir – a bag of Musang Coffee. This coffee is also known as ‘Cat Poop Coffee,’ and comes from his family coffee plantation.

You might be wondering why the unique name? Well, here’s the scoop: the cat doesn’t digest the coffee beans; they pass through intact. People believe that the journey through the cat’s digestive system reduces the acidity of the beans. This results in a less bitter and more delightful coffee – it was yum!.

The coffee beans are meticulously collected (from you know where…). They then undergo a meticulous washing and roasting process creating a coffee that’s not only unique but also happens to be one of the most expensive in the world.

We couldn’t resist the temptation to try it at our workshop last week; in fact, we must admit, it exceeded our expectations!

A fun fact – cat poop coffee:

Our friendly customs officers mentioned that it was the first ‘declared’ Musang Coffee to enter New Zealand, making it a truly extraordinary gift.

So, if you’re in the mood for a ‘purrrfectly’ unique coffee experience, then Musang Coffee might be your cup of…well, cat poop coffee! πŸ˜Šβ˜•
